December312011
Here are some resolutions for 2012:
1) No new/used clothes (exception: $30 budget for replacing my favorite pants and clothes for work).
2) Save $5,000.
3) Sell car —Not having a car will save me a minimum of $1500 per year and that’s spent on car insurance, registration, petrol, and oil changes. But In 2012 it will be more like $2000+ if I replace my tires. If I sell car asap, that person will have to replace the tires instead. The car shouldn’t need any repairs anytime soon, but if it did then I could potentially be saving $2500 in 2012.
4) Bike everywhere, or take the bus.
5) Volunteer a lot.
6) Pay off $1800 credit card debt, and keep credit cards paid off.
7) File paperwork immediately, stop throwing it in a To-Do pile that always ends up being enormous and takes me hours to finish. It’ll be faster if I just file or shred immediately.
8) On a similar note, keep house clean. Don’t let it build up. Vacuum daily!
9) Continue making payments to student loans even though I’m not obligated to pay them yet. Paying interest is beneficial at tax time.
10) Wear more colorful clothing. I wear too much black & grey.
11) Finish the 200 squats and 200 crunches challenges.
12) Finish my t-shirt project. I’ve only done one row, I need to finish sewing them all together!
